Dear Participants;

Thank you for registering to participate in the 5th Annual Great Richmond Region Adventure. Below is some important event information. Please take the time to read this email thoroughly. Team captains, please forward this email to your team members. Check-in is at historic St. John's Church, 2401 East Broad Street.

1. Please allow enough time to secure on the street parking and to get your team checked-in. Don't wait until the last few minutes of check-in time. Remember that our adventure takes place within a residential neighborhood. Please be respectful of our Church Hill neighbors and their property.

2. Team captains should collect all team waivers and tickets and turn a complete team package in to the check-in staff. Waivers are available at the following link. Each participant must submit a signed waiver.

Any participant under the age of eighteen must be accompanied by at least one adult over the age of eighteen. In addition, any participant under the age of eighteen, must have a parent or legal guardian counter-sign his/her waiver. If the accompanying adult is not your parent or legal guardian, that is permissible so long as the required parent/guardian signature is on the waiver.

3. The adventure is to be completed on-foot.

4. The adventure runs rain or shine. Dress appropriately for the weather and wear the appropriate shoes: athletic shoes or hiking boots.

5. All team members must work the same clue together at the same time. No splitting to travel to different clue locations is allowed.

6. Adventures created by Ravenchase are NOT scavenger hunts. Some clues will have codes or puzzles to solve. The style has been described as "the intersection of the Amazing Race television program and the movie National Treasure."

You don't need particular knowledge of encryption or coding methods. You just need to use your head. We're providing a practice clue so that folks who have not participated in a Ravenchase event can get a feel for our clue style. You can find that practice clue here.
Please note that the practice clue assumes you have the use of a computer. On event day a computer or smart phone are not required.

7. Water stations will be placed at some locations. Please stay hydrated.

8. You may find it helpful to bring a clipboard, pens or pencils and a small backpack in which to carry adventure materials.

9. Good sportsmanship and respect for the clue locations and neighborhood is required at all times. Anyone violating these requirements may be ejected from the event. Please review the rules to which you agreed when your registered.

10. The itinerary for the event follows:

-9:00 a.m.-9:45 a.m. | Check-in for the event

-9:45 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. | Final Adventure instructions and rules announced to the entire group of participants

-10 a.m.-1:00 p.m. | Great Richmond Region Adventure
The adventure course closes promptly at 1 p.m. Even if you have not finished the clues, make your way to the end location.

-1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. | After-Party & Awards at Patrick Henry's Pub & Grille located at 2300 East Broad Street. Awards to be announced beginning at 1:45 p.m.

Registration for the 5th Annual Great Richmond Region Adventure officially opens tomorrow.

This year registration is handled through Eventbrite which will easily allow you to add the event to your calendar and share it on social media outlets such as Facebook and Twitter.

After successfully completing the registration, you’ll be able to print your ticket and bring to the adventure check-in station.

Richmond is certainly rich in historical attractions and landmarks. But we are, apparently, also rich in Evil Geniuses. Who are the creative folks putting all of the historical and attraction data into the adventure blender making a splendiferously, delicious Great Richmond Region Adventure? Why, those would be the devilishly twisted and clever minds of the evil geniuses at Ravenchase Adventures, of course.
